Shadow

I love how this story builds the plot slowly and succeeds in communicating its message even without much audio. The message behind it is so interesting and well delivered, and although the horror designs are simplistic, they are impactful. The scene with the crying shadow especially. It would be nice to delve into the significance of the characters given more time and perhaps add more audio.

What I loved most about your short is the pacing throughout the story and the well deserved runtime. I find it interesting how the insecurities of the girl develop more into a threat, until she finally learns to appreciate herself and finds solace in her new friends. I also love the shading and composition of your work, as it really does feel right at home in the horror genre, taking a simple story and making it all the more suspenseful with how everything looks. This is a really strong story and I feel like this could really help people who might have insecurities of their own, both big or small and a lot of time and care was really put into this. Can’t wait to hopefully see more from your team in the near future!
