Dear Nicole! I loved the pace, sweetness and the emotions that the story evoked. The end was emotional and the credits made it even more. Congratulations on your work! Ps: After watching your storyreel, I went to Google images to see more about Sri Lanka and it amazed me the beautiful jungles.

What an interesting story, I can actually relate to it, as maybe in the future my baby will be growing in an entire different culture than I grew up, so it might be hard for me and it made me think about it in both mothers and grandmothers perspective. I think it is a useful stry to teach us tolerance and understanding betweed different cultures and that if there is love there will always be a way to find a common ground. I was inverted all the time until the end but I felt like the part of the food was a bit long, maybe it is ust my personal taste. I loved that in the end the daughter understood the feelings of her mother without even saying anything. Great story, clear drawings, and very concise!

Wow, Nicole! What a beautiful and endearing story, I loved it from beginning to end! It's wonderfully well told and illustrated, with all the details so we don't miss a bit of the emotionality it generates in the audience. Your work is a jewel! Your story is full of love and affection, it shows in the care with which you draw, the choice of music, the sweetness of the dialogues, the accurate use of close-ups, the depth of the messages, etc. I was fascinated to see the real photo of grandmother Jane Esther, it could not be missing in the credits, she is a beautiful woman with a noble and wise look! I'm sure she is very proud of you ;) I also enjoyed learning a little more about Sri Lanka and reflecting on its important moral: we must not forget our roots, they are our strength and anchor to life and our family. Moreover, the fact that it is a true story makes it even more special and touching. MY SINCERE CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR AWESOME WORK! :)
